Marguerite "Peggy" B. (Boyce) Kasberger

Peggy Kasberger was born on July 19, 1930, in Vancouver, Washington, to Bernard B. Boyce and Marguerite McCabe Boyce.
She grew up in Prineville, Oregon and graduated from Crook County High School in 1948. Peggy graduated from Marylhurst College in 1952 where she studied music. She later completed a 5th year at The University of Oregon, where she completed her teaching degree. Peggy married Thomas Philip Kasberger on June 27, 1959. Tom and Peggy's first home was in the Bakeoven country, near Shaniko, where Tom was the foreman on a sheep ranch. Their first two children, Anna Marie and Michael were born during this time. The family then moved to Prineville, where Tom found employment at a lumber mill. Julie and John were born during these years. The family then decided to purchase a farm in the community of Lone Pine. The fifth child, Paul was born on the family farm. Peggy was a reading specialist at Crook County High School in Prineville. She retired in 1992 and moved to Ochoco Reservoir where she enjoyed her family, volunteer work and entertaining friends. Peggy died peacefully on September 27 surrounded by family.
Peggy is survived by her sister Georgianne Daly of Campbell, Ca., her children: Annie Stoehr of Narragansett, RI., Michael Kasberger of Prineville, OR., Julie Kasberger of San Jose, CA., John Kasberger of Hood River, OR., and Paul Kasberger of Redmond, OR., and her 8 grand children: Madelene, Margaret, Grace, Benjamin, Maya Lynn, Mathew, Jacob and Josephine. She will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, Peggy requested donations be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society of Crook County or the Alzheimer's Association.
