About Us

Prineville's first funeral home over 100 years old.  It was located at 5th and Beaver St., (now a private residence). Prineville's undertaker keeping up with change, had switched from a horse-drawn funeral coach to a motorized hearse when the times called for it..

In November of 1976 the Attrell's had the grand opening of the new Prineville Funeral Home on 10th Street. The new building was built (By Charlie Moore Construction of Prineville) to solve the acute parking problem and also to provide the county with better facilities.

Attrell retired in 1985 and sold their business to Frank and Lea Dailey,  The Dailey's owned and operated the new facility until their retirement in 1998.  when Keystone and then SCI-Oregon purchased the funeral home. Until that time the mortuary had been  privately owned by family members for 75 years.

On April 1, 2015, SCI-Oregon sold the business to their successor and friends Brett & Cheyenne Edgerly who have been serving families in funeral service since 1985.  Cheyenne is a school teacher and stay at home mother to our children, Ethan, Elle', Emerson, Ensley and Elind, all whom attend our local public schools..

The Edgerly's moved from Denver, Colorado but, have family ties to Prineville. Brett's grandparents settled here in the early 1900's.  Brett's father, mother, aunts & uncles all grew up in the Prineville area. Brett was born, raised and educated in Prineville. Cheyenne, also has several family members in the Prineville area, after being born and raised in Southern, Oregon. She moved with her family to Prineville in 1998. Our family returned home in 2014, we are very blessed to be serving families is our hometown.
