Daniel Ream Jr., 82, of Prineville, passed away July 26, 2017.
Daniel was born Nov. 30, 1934, to Daniel and Ethel (Shepard) Ream in Prineville. He attended grade school at the Shotgun School in Post until the seventh grade and then attended the Newsome Creek School in Post. He attended and graduated from Crook County High School.
Daniel married Patricia Ream (Gore). They were later divorced.
After serving in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958, he later served in the Army Reserves from 1958 to 1962. He worked for the Crook County Road Department and then later owned his own business, Dan Ream Automotive & Muffler Service, prior to retirement.
Daniel’s hobbies include, hunting, fishing, gardening, messing with his cows and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his son, David (Lorna) Ream, of Prineville; granddaughter, Terena Ream, of Prineville; sister, Bettie Tweedt, of Prineville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Sr. and Ethel Ream, and sister, Jessie Tavernia.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Crook County Historical Society.
