Charles Theodore "Ted" Gilmore
Born November 23, 1945 in Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington to Charles Walter Gilmore and Lela Mae (Willis) Gilmore. Died March 12, 2017 at age 71 in Prineville, Crook County, Oregon.
Ted spent his school years in Vancouver, Washington; Portland, Oregon; and Tacoma, Washington.
In 1986 Ted met the widow Verlene (Mooney) Klein who remained his companion for 27 years.
He worked for many years as a long haul truck driver and was a member of the Teamsters Union.
Due to failing health Ted moved from Graham, Washington to Prineville, Oregon in 2013 to be near family.
Survivors: Daughter, Jeri Rae Anderson of Fife, Washington; Granddaughter, Khylee (Wright) Garibay; Great-Granddaughter, Kacey Gene Garibay; Sisters, Audrey (husband Rich) Gilmore-Shaw of Gig Harbor Washington and Anita (husband Ben) Mires-Caldwell of Seattle Washington; Brother, Terry (wife Ann) Gilmore of Prineville, Oregon. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother in 1982; his father in 1983; his step-father (Sam Mires) in 2011; a brother (Tom Mires) in 2012.
The time and place for a memorial service is yet to be determined.
