Although I never had the pleasure of meeting your mother, Eloise, you've spoken of her so warmly over the years that I felt as if I had known her all my life. And when I read the beautiful and detailed tribute to her life, I regret even more that we never personally met but I'll always be deeply grateful to her for having given me such a special cousin-by-marriage who is much closer to me than many of my own family members. My thoughts and prayers are with both you & Jerry and other members of your family. With warmest wishes always from Don Houk in Tokyo

We are thinking of you all today as you've celebrated the extraordinary life of Frances, and wishing we could have been there with you. What a woman! I have fond memories of her -- from childhood on through the years she and my mom both lived at Ochoco Village. But I had no idea of the extent of her impressive life-long adventures till reading this wonderful obituary. I remember Frances's warm, beautiful smile, always friendly and welcoming, eyes twinkling with quiet wisdom and humor. She was a vibrant, caring, spirited, full-of-life woman, and you are richly blessed to have had her as your mom and grandma. And now she's off to new adventures, though probably also "perched on your shoulder," as my mom assured me. How greatly you will miss her loving presence in your lives. Victor and I share your sorrow. Love & hugs to all ~ Cheryl & Vic
