Diana Jo Edwards

Diana Jo Edwards passed away on Sunday, July 5th 2015 in Prineville, Oregon. Diana was born on September 13, 1939 in Turlock, California, to Lawrence Edward Brahm and Emma Francis Fine Brahm.

 A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, July 8th 2015 at the Prineville Funeral Home Heritage Chapel.

She moved to Prineville in 1946 attended school, graduating in 1958 from Crook County High School. She graduated in 1960 from Eugene College of Beauty and worked as a beautician for several years. She married Ernest F. Edwards on July 25, 1959 in Prineville. They had two children, Donna Edwards Groves and Daniel J. Edwards. After living in the Springfield area for many years, Diana and Ernie moved to Prineville, Oregon in 1972. Diana worked in retail at Erickson’s Department Store and the Posie Shoppe. Diana was a generous and loving person who had many friends.

She enjoyed quilting, traveling, classic car shows, her family, and camping. She and Ernie volunteered for many years at the Hospice Christmas Auction providing the food and decorations. She also loved the county fair and volunteered yearly. Diana joined Beta Sigma Phi in 1974 and was an active member until her death. Sorority meant a lot to Diana and she held many offices and chairmanships over the years. Our sorority group numbers 17 in Prineville and we are all “Forever Friends”.

Diana is survived by her husband, Ernest F. Edwards; son, Daniel J. Edwards; daughter, Donna Groves (Jim); grandchildren Mindy Edwards, Eric Groves (Danielle), Lindsay Cartier (Matt), Brad Groves (Amanda), and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Crook County Historical Society. Prineville Funeral Home has been entrusted with Diana’s final arrangements.
