Charlene M (Peters) White

          Charlene White passed away peacefully, surrounded by all of her loving family at St. Charles Medical Center on October 13, 2016. She was 81.

          The daughter of C.W. Peters and Beulah Moore (Murray) was born December 9, 1934 in Redmond OR.  She grew up in Prineville and graduated from Crook County High School in 1953.  Charlene lived in Prineville until 1975 and then moved to Pendleton for 20 years. After retirement she returned to Prineville to be near her family.  A snowbird at heart, she spent many of her winters in Yuma, AZ.

          Charlene had a 40 year career working as an Operations Supervisor for the State of Oregon Court system.

          She loved card games and played with various card groups throughout the years.   She was also fond of travel taking periodic trips to Reno, Las Vegas, and San Francisco. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was known for her attention to detail taking pride in her appearance, and for her thoughtfulness in giving to others, which gave her great pleasure.    

          Charlene was preceded in death by her parents, and is survived by brothers: Greg Murray, and Jack Murray; sisters: Vallie Ericson (Tim), and Doreen Schlecht (Bill); son: Brad Barnes (Diane); daughters: Lori Goodman (Larry), and Shelley Brown; grandchildren: Tyler Barnes, Clay Goodman, Todd Barnes, Lindsay Brown, Sean Brown, Tanner Brown, Bodie Brown; and great grandchildren: Shane, Cooper, Makaela and Hayes.

          A public graveside service will be held at Juniper Haven Cemetery on Wednesday October 19, 2016 at 2:00 pm.
