Ted Joseph Kramer, born in 1938, in Cuba City, WI, was one of three boys born to Beth and James Kramer. Ted lived a full life as a young boy in rural Wisconsin before graduating from Plattville High school. He went on to become a Badger at the University of Wisconsin where he received his undergraduate and Master’s degree in Engineering. In the early 60’s Ted moved to Seattle, WA and started working at Boeing. He received a PhD in mechanical engineering from the University of Washington. While at Boeing Ted had a major role in the development of the thermal heat system of the Space Station.
He has 2 sons, John and Ted Jr and 2 step children, Anna and Ford. He has 5 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. After marrying Jan Blanchard from Augusta, GA in 1989, he pursued his passions of back packing, mountain climbing in the Pacific Rocky Mountain range, bicycling, and sailing in the San Juan Islands. Ted was truly a genius who wove his ideas into everything he loved. He was a teacher, father, friend, son, and husband. His intelligent and loving print is everywhere he lived and loved.
Ted passed away April 14, 2020 at his home at Powell Butte, OR
