Roberta Kerby Obituary

Roberta Jean (Bert) Griffith Kerby passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025 in Bend, Oregon at age
93. She was born October 24, 1931 in Portland, Oregon to V.R. and Margaret Griffith.
Roberta moved to Wapato, WA in 1940 with her mother and brother, George. She married Val Kerby on
May 13, 1950 and resided in Toppenish for 58 years where they built their home in 1953.
Over the years she was involved in her children's activities and later on in the community along with Val.
Following Val's death in 2008, Roberta moved to Yakima and, as her health declined, she moved to
Bend, OR to be closer to family.
Roberta is survived by her sons, Bob (Carol) of Oregon and Gary (Sandy) of Montana; her 3
daughters, Becky of Yakima, Karen (Mike) of Oregon and Connie (Craig) also of Oregon; 9
grandchildren, several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by
her half sister Debra (Steve) Gerber of Portland, Oregon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Toppenish Mural Society/Juvenile Diabetes Association will be
appreciated.
Graveside service only at Zillah Cemetery, 100 First Ave. on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 12:00,
noon. Serving as pallbearers are family members and close friends.
