Bob graduated from Crook County High School in 1955, where he lettered in football and also went to state in track. He spent the majority of his career working for Consolidated Pine, eventually becoming the general manager of the molding plant, before retiring in 2010.
Bob raised all of his children in Prineville, continuing to enjoy sports by being their biggest cheerleader while also supporting his community as President of the Prineville Booster Club in the 1970’s.
Bob grew up hunting and remained an active fisherman to the end. One of his favorite ways to spend a day was in a drift boat running the Mckenzie River, catching his limit of rainbow trout, accompanied by his sons, grandsons or son-in-law. Bob also loved taking vacations with Jan, his best friend and love of his life.
Bob will be remembered as a loyal friend, devoted husband, and supportive father and grandfather. He loved a good Western, and enjoyed the wildlife and beautiful scenery around his home overlooking the Crooked River Valley. Bob’s family was his pride and joy, as well as his biggest priority. He created a home where everyone was always welcome.
