Robert Nelson Prince, known fondly as “Bob, Pops or Gramps” of Prineville went to be with the Lord on January 12, 2024. Bob was born on November 22, 1937, to the late Clarence Lancaster and Maggie Hollifield Prince. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Charles W Prince, Clarence Edward Prince, Woodrow Prince, and sister Ruby Prince Duckett.
A devoted Husband and Father, he is survived by his wife Cecelia Prince, whom he married on September 13, 1975; two sons, Brian Palmer and wife Charmaine of Charlotte, NC, and Darryl Palmer of Crabtree, OR. Bob is also survived by brothers William Prince and wife Helen of Rutherfordton, NC; Jack Prince of Nebo, NC; sister Mildred Prince Robinson of Campbellsville, KY; and brother-in-law Michael Warring and wife Lori of Phoenixville, PA. Bob is the grandfather to five grandchildren, Irene Reed and husband Dieskau; Makaela Morrison and Husband Nathan; Brianna Palmer; Bailey Palmer and wife Courtney; Savannah Daniels and husband Carl. Bob is the Great grandfather of six, Zoelynn, Phoebe, Salem, Samual, Geneva and Mya.
Robert served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Prineville Assembly of God Church. He loved his wife and family and was a friend to many. A Memorial Service is planned for Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 10 a.m. at Prineville Funeral Home, followed by private cremation. Bob’s final resting place will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oregon Department of Veterans' Affairs online at
