Obituary

Rita Rose Vetter-Larson (88) born Dec. 30, 1931 in Fargo North Dakota, Passed away Feb. 15, 2020 in Prineville Oregon. Rita Graduated Grant Co. High school in 1949.

At the age of 18 Rita went to work for US Dept of Agriculture as a clerk and was there for 23 years she also worked In the North Dakota Department of Justice for 7 years as an Executive Secretary.

Rita married LaVern Wesley Larson Oct. 25, 1980 at St Mary’s Chapel in Medora in the Badlands.

Rita’s many organizations she was involved with included the Business & Professional Woman’s in North Dakota. She served as an officer and was later State President for two years. She also volunteered at the Grant County March of Dimes, In Grants Pass she was active with the Welcome Wagon and the Chamber of Commerce; as well as the Assante Hospital Axillary, Josephine Co. Election Board and the Community Concerts and enjoyed volunteering for Lifeline. As a life long member of the Catholic Church she volunteered her services for many ministries with St. Anne’s.

In October of 1982 they moved from Bismarck to Grants Pass Oregon. She went to work as a secretary for the newly opened St. Anne’s Parochial School. Where she retired form working in 1985.

Rita was Preceded in Death by her husband Vern, parents Frank John and Elizabeth Vetter; Brother Kenneth Me Vetter of Tacoma Washington.

Rita is survived by her brother Frank and his wife Joan of Prineville; a sister Natalie and Husband William Seibt of Forest Grove. Seven Nephews and Nieces and numerous great and great- great. She was also Grandma Rita to seven step grandchildren, as well as many-many wonderful friends to numerous to count.

Services will be held Sat. March 21, 2020 at 11:00 am at St. Annes Catholic Church in Grants Pass, Preceded by the Rosary at 10:15 with Father W.M. Holtzinger officiating. A reception will follow in the Parish Center.

A Private Interment will be held at Juniper Haven Cemetery in Prineville Oregon.
