Richard Ronald Heinz, 93, of Prineville OR died October 20th 2022 after a long illness. “Dick” Heinz was the son of Raymond and Mary Heinz, born in Oregon City, and living his entire life in the state of Oregon. He is survived by four grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren. Dick was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1950, and served in Korea with California’s National Guard 40th Division. He served with distinction on the front lines for a continuous 160 days, earning two bronze stars for his actions there. Upon returning home Dick married Annette Morris, opened up a small tax consultant business and settled down to raise his stepson Larry. Dick loved fishing, his grandchildren, his great grandchildren, and telling stories, eventually authoring two books. He always wanted to chat with friends and family, and will be greatly missed by us all. Military services will be held at Willamette National Cemetery, November 3rd at 11:30 am.
