Obituary

Nyla Evans, 68, of Prineville, passed away on July 25, 2023, in Prineville.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 1st at Juniper Haven Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Prineville Funeral Home.

Nyla was born in Prineville to Jerry Evans and Clara Morris on January 18, 1955. She went to school in Prineville. She later graduated from Hermiston High School.

Her first job was at Brownsville Cafe as a waitress, in Prineville. She was involved in the Lutheran Church. She had the biggest heart, a cheerful smile, she loved her friends and family almost as much as life itself! She was quite social and enjoyed playing bunko, bingo, card games, cross stitching, crafting, and was known as the Hat Lady.

Nyla is preceded in death by her grandparents, Arthur and Dorothy Altenburg and her Mother, Clara Morris. Nyla is survived by her sister, Lori Brown; nephews Josh Brown (Rita, Cade, Avery, Berlyn, Alli and Tucker) and Jared Brown (Missy, Emmie and McKye); and cousins Dale and James Altenburg and their families.

Following the service, the family invites you to join them to share memories of Nyla at The Eagles (Prineville), from 11-1 for refreshments.
