Norma Duesler

Norma Jean Duesler (Brickey)was born September 30, 1925 in Albany, Oregon to James and Florence Brickey.  She graduated Milwaukie High School in 1942 and began work at Pacific Maritime in Portland.

She met William Duesler in May 1943, and after a two-week courtship they were married, and they remained married for almost 50 years. 

Norma is survived by her daughter, Jeri Poole, and her brother, Mike Brickey, of Prineville, Oregon.

Norma always enjoyed a laugh, and she enjoyed playing cards at the Senior Center in Prineville for several years. She made some good friends there.

She was a voracious reader, a lover of crossword puzzles…and of watching baseball.  She used her computer to stay in touch with her BFF in Portland after moving to Prineville right up until her illness.

Norma passed away at home in the early morning of Sunday, August 29, 2021.  She will be buried with her husband in Willamette Nat’l Cemetery.  There will be no service per her wishes.
