In Loving Memory of Mark Douglas Greene

Mark, a lifelong resident of Prineville passed away November 12, 2020 after a long battle with cancer. He was the eldest of seven children born to Jim and Carline Greene on May 20, 1960.

Mark attended Crook County Schools and later received his diploma in La Grande OR. He had a variety of jobs and work experiences over his lifetime. He received his degree in Heating/Cooling and later worked for Mel’s Heating/Cooling in La Grande. Mark worked for a company in the Hermiston OR area mixing chemicals and loading it into the crop dusting planes. He also worked for numerous companies throughout Central Oregon: Omco, Swan Industries, and Chase Doors.

Mark had a love for mechanics and tinkering with things. Camping, barbecues and family gatherings were some of his favorite things to do. He enjoyed helping others, especially his little brother Chad driving a tractor on the ranch. Mark was known for being a loyal friend.

He was preceded in death by his father Jim, sister Tammy, son Dylan.

Mark is survived by his daughters Destiny of Elgin OR, Sharline of Prineville OR, son Devan of Lincoln City OR, grandson Vinny of Elgin OR, mother Carline of Prineville OR, siblings Randy, Scott and Jaime of Prineville OR, Chad of Powell Butte OR, and Shawna of Redmond OR, nephews Monte, Andy, Brady, Chance, Zion, Garrett and Zeke, nieces Natasha, Ashley, Abby, great niece Lily and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mark was known for his sense of humor and his love for life and his love for his cat Yoda. He will be greatly missed. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Donations can be made in Mark’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
