Lloyd Rodgers, born on March 24, 1948, in Portland, Oregon, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2024, in Prineville, Oregon.
Lloyd lived a full and varied life across numerous locations in Oregon before settling in Prineville. Over the years, he pursued many vocations, including working in the agriculture industry, serving as a carpenter and counselor, and sharing his love of tennis as a coach at Crook County High School. A skilled pilot and an avid outdoorsman, Lloyd found joy in hobbies such as hunting, fishing and playing tennis.
He is lovingly remembered by his children: Doug (Heather) Rodgers; Michelle (Chris) Westman; Jill (Jason) Quigley. He was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren. Lloyd is also survived by his brothers Stan (Lynn) Rodgers and Paul Rodgers, as well as his sister-in-law Connie Rodgers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Rita Rodgers, and his brother Neil Rodgers.
A Rosary will be held on Thursday, December 19, at 7:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Mass on Friday, December 20, at 11:00 am, both at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prineville, Oregon.
Lloyd’s adventurous spirit and dedication to family will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who mourn his passing.
