Lila Warstler Obituary

Mrs. Lila Warstler, born on March 16, 1925, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2023. She is survived by her loving daughter Carolyn Bruce & husband Richard, son Jack & wife Tina Warstler, and son Joe Warstler. Lila was predeceased by her husband, Carl Warstler, daughter Elizabeth Ann Johnson, sons David and Melvin Warstler, brothers Glen and Lonie Ashcraft, and sisters Dorothy Wright and Deloris Rose. She is also survived by her sister Fay Allgood, 17 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.

Lila married Carl Warstler in 1942 and together they moved several times, making homes in Las Animas, CO (1951), Creede, CO (1955), Fresno, CA (1957), Christmas Valley, OR (1965), Burns, OR (1975), and Redmond, OR (2012 and 2021).Throughout her life, Lila was a dedicated attendee at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, beginning her study of the Bible in 1959, with her baptism on October 1, 1961.

With a warm, loving, and dedicated personality, Lila enjoyed listening to Melvin Warstler's "Wide Open Spaces" and watching the JW Broadcast and Jeopardy. Among her favorite books was the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures. Lila was passionate about sharing the good news of God's Kingdom and the best lesson she had to share was to love Jehovah.

Lila's greatest accomplishments included marrying Carl, raising their six children, and living a life dedicated to Jehovah. Her legacy of living a life of integrity to her God Jehovah will continue to inspire those who knew her. Early in her life, Lila was an avid gardener and loved canning, quilting, and cooking.

Mrs. Lila Warstler will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and fellow members of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Her memory will be cherished, and her life and love for Jehovah will continue to influence those who were fortunate enough to know her. We all look forward to the fulfillment of Acts 24:15 when we will welcome our mother Lila back in the resurrection to perfect life on earth where there will be no more sorrow or death.
