Keani Curtis Obituary

Keani Michelle Curtis, a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend passed away, at 23 years of age on November 1st, 2020. Born in Eugene, Oregon on January 16, 1997 to Shane and Nicole Curtis. Keani grew up in Bend where she attended Jewell Elementary, High Desert Middle school and later graduated from Bend Senior High school in 2015.

Keani’s childhood consisted of lots of outdoor activities such as camping, fishing and shed hunting. She enjoyed sitting by the fire with her family and friends laughing and telling stories. She enjoyed learning how to dance at Urban Pointe dance studio. She loved hanging out at the roller-skating rink, swimming pool, shopping at the Old Mill and floating the Deschutes river with her friends.

In her adult years she worked at Bend Memorial Clinic in the appointment center before transitioning to Bariatric Coordinator. Keani then went on to work for St. Charles Medical Center working in the Pre-op department.

Keani was a vivacious beautiful young woman with a heart of gold. Keani gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life. In February 2019 she met the love of her life, Grant Porfily. She had hopes and dreams that one day they would wed and live happily every after.

Keani is survived by her parents Shane & Nicole Curtis. Her brother Keli’i Curtis. Her grandparents Dan & Jeannette Curtis and Gail Atkinson.  Many uncles, aunts, cousins and puppy Geronimo aka Baby G.

She was preceded in death by her boyfriend Grant Porfily, her Great-grandfather Myron Curtis, her Tutu Clarice Honda and G’pa John Atkinson III.
