Kay Nadine Post died on April 1, 2022 after a long illness with Cancer. Kay was born on February 29, 1936, a home birth in Courtrock, Oregon. Kay’s parents were Archie John and Zella Edith (Johnson) Gienger. Kay was fifth of 11 children.
Kay married the love of her life, James Post, in Winnemucca, Nevada on December 10, 1954. They were married for over 52 years before James passed. They had no children. They had numerous dogs that they loved dearly.
Kay lived in John Day, Izee, and Prineville, Oregon. Kay was a home maker and lived in Prineville for over 50 years.
Kay’s hobbies included; crocheting, watching football games on TV, gardening, fishing, and word search books.
Kay is preceded in death by her husband, James, both parents, four sisters and three brothers.
Kay is survived by her three brothers; John (Diane) Gienger, Monument, Oregon, Lester (Barbara) Gienger, Vancouver, Washington, and Bill (Arlene) Gienger, Spray, Oregon. Kay is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
Kay’s burial will be in Hamilton, Oregon this summer.
