Kathleen Elizabeth Leonard, 81, died peacefully in her sleep November 13th, 2022, while surrounded by her loving family in Prineville, OR. Kathie was born February 5, 1941 in St. Paul, Minnesota to parents Gordon and Anna Olsen. She met Bob Leonard in Brookings, Oregon and they married on December 26, 1959. Their 63 year marriage was a true testament to love and commitment.
Kathie was a graduate of Brookings-Harbor High School and Behnke-Walker business school in Portland. Kathie devoted herself to her family, creating a loving household. Over the years, she diligently worked as a secretary and bookkeeper with numerous organizations. She strongly believed in giving back and was very active with the Catholic Church throughout her life.
Kathie was a master gardener in her own right and an accomplished quilter. She loved to share her gifts with her family and community. The Azalea Queen of Brookings had a way of always keeping us guessing, even skydiving at 80. Kathie loved to travel and was ever grateful for the adventures that she and Bob were blessed to share.
Kathie was our matriarch, our rock, and our guiding light. She could connect with anyone and deeply cherished her relationships with family and friends. She takes with her our love and leaves behind beautiful memories and words of kindness.
