Judy Graham Obituary

Judy Ellen Graham passed away on December 14th, 2019 in Bend, Oregon. She was surrounded by her loving family and had both her children by her side. She was 77 years old. Judy was born in Oroville California on November 16th, 1942 to Enos R and Mary Ellen Brown. She graduated from Oroville Union Highschool in 1960, and worked in the nursing field. She met and married Mike Graham in 1966. They had two children, and moved their family to Alaska in 1975. Judy enjoyed many years in Alaska as a wife, mother and homemaker. She was an avid gardener and her yard was a showcase of beautiful begonias, fuchsia baskets and wild Alaska ferns. Judy had a true love of the outdoors and spent 30 years camping, fishing and hunting in Alaska with her family. Judy was an accomplished quilter, crafter and oil painter. Her quilts are treasured by her family as well as her landscape paintings. She excelled at making wool braided rugs, and when ever a baby was born, they were sure to receive a hand made quilt. She loved making scrapbooks, cards and floral arrangements. Judy loved to cook, bake and can fruits and vegetables, and there were always homemade cookies in her cookie jar. Upon retirement, Mike and Judy moved to Grangeville, Idaho. They spent several happy years traveling in their RV across the United States, and they were happiest on horseback spending time in the mountains of Idaho. They met treasured friends there, and Judy enjoyed these pack trips to the fullest. She loved camp cooking, spending time with friends around the camp fire, and spending time with horses. When Mike passed away in 2011, she moved to Prineville Oregon to be closer to her sister, brother and family. There she enjoyed many fishing, horse back trips, and she loved getting together with her family. She will be greatly missed by many. Her ashes will be scattered along with her husband, in the mountains of Idaho. She is survived by her son Todd Graham of Anchorage Ak, her daughter Kelly and husband Joe Straker of Rapid City, SD, sister Joan and husband Ted French of Prineville OR, brother John and wife Judy Brown, Prineville OR, grandsons Garrett Graham, Gordon and Toby Straker. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Enos R and Mary Ellen Brown, her brother Bob Brown, and her granddaughter Lauren Graham.
