Judi Ellen Hicks

Judi Hicks, 64, of Prineville Oregon gained her wings on March 14th, 2025.

Judi was born to Margo Matthews (mom) and Darrell Hicks (dad) on April 9th, 1960. She grew up in Prineville Oregon with her brother Jerry and her sister Amy and was well known within the community.

In August of 1979 Judi was blessed with her first-born Ryan and began her journey of Motherhood. In April 1982 she had her second son Scotty, and two years later in September of 1983 she gave birth to her youngest son Matthew. (Matthew would say that she stopped at perfection.) All three of her boys gave her a run for her money growing up. They each earned their name on that paddle tenfold! But eventually she whipped them into shape, and they flew the coop.

All three of her sons went on to marry and gave her eleven beautiful grandchildren. Ryan married Megan, and together they have Robby, Emily, and Mckayla. Scotty married Amy and together they have Kylah, Kaci, Brooklyn, Braelyn, Micah, and Macie. (Scotty really wanted that boy!!)   Matthew married Megan and together they have Jayden and Owen.  

Judi’s grandchildren were the light of her life. She enjoyed any opportunity to spend time with them, no matter the occasion. All the children and grandchildren remember breakfast at grandma’s house. Especially if she was making her famous biscuits and gravy. 

Judi was witty, sarcastic, and carried herself with a lot of sass. She was always up for a new adventure. And boy did she have them! In her younger years she enjoyed rodeo, tailgating, and tearing up the town. Anyone who knew her or grew up with her knows that she could drink the boys under the table. She knew how to have fun and was always the life of the party.

Judi is reunited in heaven with her dad Darrell Hicks. She is survived by her mother Margo Matthews, Stepmother Joanne Hicks, Brother Jerry Hicks, and sister Amy Hicks. As well as her son’s, their spouses, and her grandchildren: Ryan Reed, Megan Reed (daughter in-law) Robby, Emily, Mckayla, Scotty Reed, Amy Reed (daughter in-law) Kylah, Kaci, Brooklyn, Braelyn, Micah, Macie, Matthew Reed, Megan Reed (daughter in-law), Jayden, and Owen.

Judi’s celebration of life will be held April 9th 2025 12 o'clock, at First Baptist church with a reception to follow. There will be time with friends and family to share your favorite memories of Judi, and commemorate her Birthday and Life.
