Jonathan Lee Puddy was born to Miles and Mary Jane (McCoy) Puddy on Nov 17, 1959.
The Lord took Jon peacefully to heaven on January 22, 2024.
Jon worked for the US Forest Service, Fran Cherry Ranch, Clear Pine Mouldings, Marus Dental, Les Schwab Tires, Crooked River Meat Packing Company, and Home Depot. He retired in 2016.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; sons James (Caren) and Michael (Sara); his mother, Mary Jane; sisters, Rebecca Puddy and Sandra Neal (Don); sister-in-law, Sue; niece, Mary Neal; nephew Jason Neal; and 10 (almost 11} grandkids.
He was born in Prineville where he attended Crook County schools where he was a wrestling team captain and played trombone in band. He also attended COCC for a year and a half.
Jon had many hobbies and was always up to something. He loved gardening, meat processing, farming, bee keeping, cooking, canning and was an avid book worm. He liked to fish, hunt, and
camp as well.
He was always learning. "Any day you didn't learn something was a wasted day" was one of his favorite quotes. He was teased a lot about his "useless information" and some called him "a
fount of Information". His reply was "I read a book once." He took it all in stride, as he had a great sense of humor.
Jon was a great father and proud Papa. He loved his family and enjoyed any time spent with them.
A memorial service will be held at Prineville Church of the Nazarene on Feb 4, 2024 at 2pm.
