Celebrating the life of Joel Meyer
April 24, 1981 ~ December 19, 2024

Joel Nathan Meyer was born April 24th , 1981 in Bend, Oregon. He lost his battle with an aggressive cancer on December 19th , which he had fought for the last year and a half. He is survived by his 4 children Wyatt, Madison, Eli and Isaac and their mother Tawnya, his parents Tom and Melanie Meyer and his brothers Alex and Kevin Meyer. Joel was a kind, adventurous kid and grew into a young man who loved the outdoors and had many friends. One of his early interests was music and he loved playing both the alto and soprano saxophones. He also loved disc golf, playing pool and playing cribbage with family and friends. He especially valued the relationships with, and support of, his churchy family. He was a hard worker, always striving to do his best. Over the years he worked in the aircraft manufacturing and lumber finishing industries and had most recently been employed by the Bend-La Pine school district as a custodian, a job which he truly loved.

A celebration of life service will be held at Foundry Church, 60 NW Oregon Ave., Bend, Oregon on Saturday, January 18th at 1:00 p.m.. The service will be live streamed for those who are unable to attend and may be viewed at (https://www.youtube.com/live/2ncDT3Wbc0w).
