Jerry Dwayne Winkle

 

Jerry was born in Prineville, Oregon to Bud and Ella Winkle and spent his childhood in Bend Oregon.  As a child he enjoyed camping and hunting with his family. Jerry married Jackie (Stream) in 1978, they welcomed two daughters, Jadra “Jade” (1979), and “Bel” Janell (1981). Jerry worked at the Shake Mill in Sisters, Oregon up until an on the job accident caused significant injury to his arm. Jerry also had a daughter Amy (1980) and a son Joseph (1984).

Jerry loved spending time outdoors with family and friends sharing his enthusiasm for fishing especially Sturgeon fishing.  Later in life he enjoyed gardening and adored dressing up and playing Santa every Christmas.  He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and love for his kids.  

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Theodore “Teddy” Winkle; sister, Barbara Smith; and son, Joseph Winkle.

Jerry is survived by his daughters: Jadra Winkle, Bel Winkle, and Amy Cooper, sisters: Viola Biggs and Cleora Bachmeier; grandsons: Mason, Kole, Zachary, Brandon, Colton, and Conner, granddaughter: Trinity, and multiple nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews.
