Jeffrey Milton Samuel

Jeffrey “Jeff” Samuel, loving brother, devoted husband and father passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, December 29, 2025. He was 59 years old. Jeff was born on March 16, 1966 in Portland, Oregon to Julian Samuel and Carol Peltz.

Jeff grew up in West Linn, Oregon. In his early years, he had a special bond with his grandfather, Julian Samuel, Sr., who he called “Pa,” and would spend many weekends together with him. He also spent a lot of time working on cars with his father from whom he inherited his mechanical skills. As a young adult, Jeff worked in waste disposal as well as for his father in the railroad construction business. He married the love of his life, Karla, in 1993. In 1996, he and Karla welcomed their first child, Joshua, and in 2001, they had their second child, Maggie. Jeff was a wonderful father and was very proud of his children. He worked as a steel worker before moving to Prineville, Oregon in 2004 and was then accepted into trade school where he earned his journeyman plumbing license. He started his own plumbing business in 2011, Jeff’s Custom Plumbing, which he successfully operated for 7 years as the sole plumber, along with his wife Karla as the secretary. Jeff retired his plumbing business and took up the role of a plumbing inspector for Crook County in 2018. In his free time, he loved working on cars, caring for his property, cheering on the Minnesota Vikings, and spending time with his family. 

Jeff had a deep love for the Lord. He was eager to share his Christian faith with all who would listen, and truly wished for all of his family and friends to accept Jesus Christ into their hearts. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Prineville. He was also a strong supporter of the local Christian school, High Desert Christian Academy, where he volunteered many hours over the years and served as a board member since 2015.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 32 years, Karla Samuel, children Joshua and Maggie Samuel, father Julian (Bonnie) Samuel, mother Carol (Ken) Peltz, sister Tamra Samuel, brother Jeremiah (Emily) Samuel, a loving extended family, many dear friends, and his beloved weenie dog Daisy.

A celebration of life will be held at Grace Baptist Church in Prineville, Oregon, on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
