Jamie R Korpela

Jamie Rae (Mitchell) Korpela went to be with our Lord and Savior on August 16, 2020.

She was born August 22, 1955 to James R. and Nelda J. Mitchell in Prineville.  A private family service will be held August 26th in Prineville.

Jamie was a lifelong resident of Prineville and a member of the CCHS class of 1973.

She married her highschool sweetheart Neal J. Korpela in May of 1972. Jamie was an avid sportsman, who loved hunting and fishing. She was a highly ranked competitive archer, and accomplished marksman with a rifle. Jamie possessed incredible artistic abilities and was well known locally for her beautiful crafts that she sold at Holiday Bazaars.

Jamie is preceded in death by her husband Neal, infant son Heath and grandsons Eric and Xander Korpela.

She is survived by her sons Chad Korpela of Prineville, Todd & Kimberly Korpela or Prineville, Parents, James and Nelda Mitchell of Prineville, Sisters, Vicki & Ken Duncan of Prineville, Boo & Shawn Connolly of Prineville and Brother-in-law Joe Korpela of Welches. Jamie is also survived by seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and three nieces. The family requests in lieu of flowers please donate to a charity of your choice in Jamie’s name.
