James Martin Jensen

James M. Jensen passed away peacefully at his home with his wife, daughter, and son by his side on July 1, 2024. 

Jim was born on November 14, 1936 and grew up in Eugene Oregon. He graduated from Willamette High School in 1954. He worked in the Sheet Metal Trade most of his life. 

He married his wife of 58 years, Bonnie on August 20, 1965. They had three children, Jimmy, Joe, and Wendy.  They moved to Bend Oregon in 1989. Jim cherished time with his family and was happiest when they were all together. Two of a long list of family dogs, “Rocky and Newt” brought him much comfort, companionship, and love during his last days. 

He is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife, Bonnie, his son, Joe Jensen (Angie) of Lake Mary, FL , his daughter, Wendy Jensen (Erik) of Bend, OR.  Seven grandchildren: Carmen Creamer (Ben) of Seattle, WA, Brooklyn Jensen of Tampa, FL, Dawson and Eli Cloward of Bend, OR, Isaiah, Taylan, and Legend Jensen of Lake Mary FL, a brother, Richard Jensen (Char) of Corvallis OR. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Louie and Esther Jensen, his son, James D. Jensen, his grandson, Ryden Jensen. 

A memorial service will be held at Nativity Lutheran Church in Bend Oregon on Saturday, October 5 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Brightside Animal Center or HSCO of Bend Oregon.
