Jake “Moos” Mulvaney, born on April 27, 1990, passed away on September 13, 2025, after a hard fought, 4-month battle with cancer at the age of 35. He was taken from this world far too soon, but not before leaving a lasting mark on the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
A son, brother, uncle, devout boyfriend, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, Jake was deeply devoted to his people. He cherished time spent with family and friends and lived his life with a fierce loyalty.
He was an avid outdoorsman who thrived in the wild. Whether he was fishing on the river, hunting in the woods, scaling the rugged face of a mountain, or sitting on the porch with his dog, he was always most at peace under open skies.
Music was in his bones. He was a powerful musician and a singer with a voice that could stop a room. Every note he played and every song he sang carried the same fire, honesty and simplicity that he lived his life with.
Those who knew him best would tell you he was passionate, competitive and stubborn—a mix that made him relentless in his pursuits and unwavering in his beliefs. He loved a good political debate and would do his damndest to secure a win on any game night.
His legacy is one of love, adventure, and authenticity. From childhood through adulthood, he always lived his life on his own terms. He was truly one-of-a-kind. Though his time with us was cut short, Jake lived with a fullness and honesty that will continue to inspire those he left behind.
He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the honor of sharing in his journey.
Go rest high on that mountain, Jake.
We love you.
