Jerry Mattern, a devoted husband, beloved father, cherished grandfather, and faithful servant of Jehovah, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family. He was 75.
Jerry had one final, intense goal: to reach his 54th wedding anniversary. With fierce, unwavering will to live that characterized his entire life, Jerry met that goal, celebrating the milestone with his wife, Debbie, just day before his passing.
A Master Builder
Born in 1950, Jerry was a man who build his life on a foundation of hard work and integrity. For over four decades, he was a dedicated member of the construction trade, a skilled craftsman whose meticulous work shaped buildings and home throughout the region. His colleagues knew him for his strong work ethic, keen eye for detail, and ability to tackle any challenge with grit and a can do attitude.
A Devoted Family Man
In 1971, Jerry married the love of his life, Debbie. Their 54 years of marriage were the testament to enduring love, mutual respect, and shared laughter. Together, they built a beautiful life and a loving home for their family.
His Enduring Faith
Jerry's greatest love was for his God, Jehovah. As a faithful member of the local congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Jerry found deep comfort and purpose in his faith. He was eager to share the Bible's hope for the future, and his strong spirituality served as a moral compass for his family and friends.
Jerry is survived by his beloved wife, Debbie; his four children, and two grandchildren; and a loving extended family.
Jerry's determined spirit will forever remain an inspiration to all who knew him.
