Evelyn (Evie) Adams Obituary

Evelyn (Evie) Marie Adams passed away on May 15, 2024 in Prineville at age 93 from
a fall. Evelyn was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon on January 23, 1931 to Emil and Helga
Larson. Evelyn joined brothers Oscar and Lloyd and sister Eileen. In 1939 the family
moved to Prineville, Oregon where she attended school and graduated from Crook
County High School in 1949.
On August 12, 1950 she married Rollie Miller. The couple had three children: Cathy,
Bruce, and Mary. Tragedy struck on September14,1966 when Rollie was killed in a
logging accident.  
Evelyn went to work at the Crook County Health Department in 1966 and continued
there until 1968. In 1972 she went to work as a deputy clerk in the Crook County Clerks
office. In 1977 she went to work at Central Oregon Title as an escrow secretary.  In
1979 she returned to the County Clerks office as a Deputy Clerk until her retirement in
1995.
In August of 1980 Evelyn married Lee Adams Jr. In Prineville. The couple spent many
happy years together until his death in 2007.
Evelyn was a long-time member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Prineville. She was
a choir member and loved all of the activities of her church. She so enjoyed her
Christmas and Spring luncheons. Her monthly lunches with her close friends were
always a highlight.
Evelyn was an avid reader and enjoyed going to St. Vincent DePaul in Redmond to get
a new basket of books. Family was always at the center of her life, and she will be
missed by each and every one of them.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, siblings husband Rollie Miller, husband
Lee Adams Jr., Grandson Bryce Miller, Great grandson Christian Jenkins.
Evelyn is survived by her children: Cathy (Pete) Jenkins, Bruce (Alma) Miller, and Mary
(James) Sanislo. She is also survived by her step-daughters Terry Goodman and
Shannon (Jerry) Sherrer. She is also survived by 7 Grandchildren, and 11 Great
grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held on June 15th , 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran
Church , Prineville.

greatly appreciated.
