Debra Jean Williams
January 1, 1953 -March 26, 2020
On March 26, 2020, Debra Jean Williams passed away peacefully at her home with her family and loved ones by her side. Debbie was 67 years old. Debbie was born on January 1, 1953, in Chico CA to Roy and Margaret Williams and is the youngest of three children. Debbie was the second baby born in the new year and was delivered by a doctor in a tuxedo.
Debbie’s family lived in Prineville, and she was raised in the Ochocos. She attended Howard school from 1959 to 1962. Debbie graduated from Crook County High School in 1971. Shortly after graduation Debbie moved to Portland. Debbie married Dean Holland in 1974 and together they had two sons Ryan and Joe. Debbie moved back to Prineville in 1981 and as a single mother raised her sons.
In 1983 she started working at Clear Pine Moldings. She worked in multiple departments and became purchasing agent until her retirement in 1997. Debbie continued working part time for Ron Johnson at High Tec Electric as their most decorated office manager.
After retirement Debbie spent her time traveling, camping, fishing, spending time with her family and friends. Debbie was very proud of her boys and their families. She loved cheering on her grandchildren at sporting and 4-H events. Debbie was known as Grandma Honey to her grandchildren and many adopted grandchildren through the years. Debbie was very proud of becoming a D.A.R (Daughters of the American Revolution) in 2019. She bragged about it often.
Debbie had a laugh that would light up a room. She loved wearing tons of jewelry. Debbie was the best daughter, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, friend and will be missed by many.
Debbie is survived by her mother Margaret Searcy, Sons Ryan (Alishia) Holland, Joseph Holland, Grandsons Rylan Holland and Luke Holland. Brothers Steve (Jeannie) Williams, Dean (Carolyn) Williams. Aunts Emma Barrington and Doreen Ashcraft. Nieces Lisa Williams and Sheila (Doug) Gannon. Close friends Kama Raymond, Darlene Forseth and Ronnie Grant as well as many more friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Graveside services will be held in private on April 1st. A celebration of life will be scheduled for a later date due to the covid-19 pandemic. Please follow Debbie’s Facebook page for updates
