David "Dave" Joseph Karikas passed away October 1, 2020. He was born to Lewis and Rose Gluscic Karikas in McKeesport Pennsylvania February24. 1958. He was a loving brother to his sister Patricia Karikas and husband Phil Glogowoski of west Mifflin Pennsylvania. David was a loyal friend to many a loving husband and father.
David took the GED at McKeesport Senior High school. This caught the attention of the most technologically advanced university, Bell and Howell in Columbus Ohio. He graduated in 1979 with an electrical engineering degree and moved to Sunnydale California. After eighteen months he relocated to Cornelius Oregon and soon joined the Intel technology company as a gifted research engineer. David was one engineer of the team which developed the first Pentium chip. Dave was honored many times for his contributions to the technology giant. He retired from Intel in 2008.
Dave's lifelong passion for motorcycles and riding gave him the opportunity to ride over eight hundred thousand miles within the United States as well as other countries. Dave met his wife Debra at a potluck gathering of Wet Leather motorcycle friends. They married in September 1997 celebrating twenty four years together. David and Debra each owned and maintained their own motorcycles . A few favorite rides Include Heider Alaska, Glacier National Park, Jasper National Park and our beautiful Oregon State.
David and Debra both are committed followers of Jesus Christ honoring Him as their Lord and Savior. David studied the Bible, he and Debra worshipped Christ at Prineville Bible Church. He leaves behind his wife Debra, his sister Patricia Karikas, a daughter Dalynda Baker of Tacoma and two precious grandchildren Jackson and Phoenix ,as well as many friends and extended family.
David was preceded in death by his parents.
