Daren Ray Holliday passed away unexpectedly February 15, 2026.
Daren was born May 12, 1965, in Prineville, Oregon, to Ed and Rose Holliday. He spent his youth in Paulina, Oregon, and always considered it home. Daren attended schools in Paulina and Prineville, graduating from Crook County High School in 1983. After graduation from high school, Daren attended Diesel Mechanic school in Phoenix, Arizona.
Daren married Marj Lampert, and they had three daughters: Devon, Kylee, and Whitney. At the time of his death, he was married to Ronna Baird, who had three daughters: Chardae, Samantha, and Charlie.
Having grown up in Paulina, it was always home to Daren. He made frequent trips to his home country, to Salter's Cabin, Miller Ranch, Widow Springs, and to visit friends. Paulina was his heaven on earth. Camping at Salter's was an enjoyable family time for him. Daren had many jobs over his life but really enjoyed managing the sewage ponds for the City of Prineville.
He greatly enjoyed bow hunting, the Paulina Rodeo, cutting up meat, BBQ, helping others cut firewood, loading hay, changing pipe, bucking hay, the green house and all of it that it entailed. He dug several septic tanks with his backhoe named Unc.
Exodus 20:12 says,"Honor your Father and your Mother so that you may live long in the Land your God is giving you." Daren loved and honored his mom and dad. God would say----"Daren Holliday, well done good and faithful servant."
Daren is survived by his wife, Ronna Holliday, his mother, Rose Holliday, brother, David Holliday (Cindy), daughters Devon, Kylee, Whitney, Chardae, Samantha, and Charlie.
He especially loved grandchildren Spencer, Hazely, Traton, and Ransome, as well. He was preceded in death by his father, Ed Holliday, and brother Damon Holliday, maternal grandparents Bus and Clara Evans and paternal grandparents Strip and Rose Holliday. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
