Dale Dolf Krehbiel passed away on January 20, 2025 in Bend Oregon. He was born in Salem
Oregon on August 22, 1945 to Adolf Krehbiel and Elizabeth (Toevs) Krehbiel.
Dale attended schools in Albany Oregon, graduating in 1963 from Albany Union High School in
Albany Oregon where he participated in track and held the school record in the high hurdles.
He went on the attend both Oregon State University and the University of Oregon, graduating
from and the University of Oregon. He then spent 2 years in the Marine Corp and was
stationed in Vietnam.
In 1976 he settled to Lebanon Oregon where he began his banking career at State Savings and
Loan.
On November 7, 1987 he married Jean Tavernia in Corvallis, Oregon They moved to Seattle
Washington in 1989 and where they lived for 30 years. While there he continued his career in
Banking and Finance.
They moved to Bend in 2019 after they retired. Where he enjoyed his view of the 3 Sisters and
Mt. Bachelor.
His great passion was restoring his beloved vintage Corvette and restoring his 3 1967 Camaro’s.
Whie in Seattle he was a member of the Northwest Camaro Club. Upon arriving in Bend he
became a member of High Desert Corvette Club.
Dale loved to ski, play handball, scuba dive and play golf. He always cheered on his beloved
Ducks.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother.
He is survived by is wife Jean of 37 years, multiple cousins, his sisters-in-laws Mary Wickersham,
and Joan Tavernia, brother-in-law Thomas Tavernia (Bonnie), Nephews Alex Wickersham
(Amber Ellis), Arron Tavernia (Hanna), Jason Tavernia (Kimberly), nieces Kimberly Hambleton,
Emilie Tavernia and 5 grand nephews and 3 grand nieces.
