Crystal Pauline (Gutscher) Hurt

Our beautiful wife and mother, Crystal Hurt, passed away on April 11, 2020 surrounded by her family, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia.  She was 83.

Crystal was born on October 24, 1936 in Mountain View, Missouri as the second youngest of ten to Elvin & Nellie Gutscher.  She was the loving wife of Val Dean Hurt for 64 years.  They moved to Prineville, Oregon in 1954, where they made their home. 

She leaves behind her beloved husband, Val; two children, Kim Bible and Jay Hurt; her only remaining sister, Iona Weise, 98; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

There will be a small memorial with only immediate family.  Please send any donations or gifts to St. Charles Foundation, Hospice & Transitions (Post Acute Care) in memory of our loved one.
