Carolyn Binam

Carolyn Binam went to meet loved ones she has been missing very much on August 3rd 2022.  Carolyn (Becerra) Binam was born Sept. 23, 1936 in Aurora Arkansas to Miguel and Eula (Hopper) Becerra.  Carolyn was the youngest of 4 children.  Her family moved to Oregon while she was still in school.  She graduated from CCHS in 1955.  She married Archie Binam Dec. 31, 1955.  They moved to Boston while Archie was in the service.  They moved back to Oregon to live in Mitchell for awhile, then eventually settled in Prineville.  She worked at Burnett Box, then Ochoco Care Center until her retirement.  Carolyn loved playing games and spending time with her family.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Archie, to whom she was married to for 55 years; her son Curtis Binam; two sisters, Oleda Phillips and Arletha Hawthorne and brother Hastings Becerra.  She is survived by her son Michael Binam; daughter-in-law Karen Binam; 2 granddaughters Valerie Miller (Aaron) and Amber Payne (Zach) and 5 great grandchildren.
