Alfred Bond Obituary

On Wednesday morning November 15, 2023 as his loving family was near his side, Alfred Perry Bond was greeted into heaven by God, Jesus and thousands of singing Angels. Alfred’s many family members and friends reached out to welcome him into paradise. Among them was his baby daughter and his parents.

Alfred was a member at Calvary Baptist Church, where he played his bass guitar (with a very wonderful smile on his face) during worship service.

Alfred was jail commander of the Crook County Sheriff's office for many years before retiring. It was an honor for him to grow in the corrections department. He was devoted to all whom he served and assisted in their troubled times.

Upon his death he was a team member with Crook County Juvenile Department. This was a job that he was dedicated to helping the youth of our community.

Alfred was an exceptional artist. He created many clay sculptures that when finished resembled carved wood. He was a fine taxidermist, following the smallest details of profection to all animals he preserved.

Alfred also enjoyed oil painting. Some of his paintings are 3D, others of old men, trappers and hunters with detailed faces.

Alfred was a dedicated power lifter and it was the passion of his being since he was 14 years old. Any given Monday or Wednesday his truck would be parked outside the Power House Gym. There he would be standing in the squat rack loaded, with his son Logan spotting him. And with many weight lifting friends.

Among other things Alfred cherished the times spent with his family. He was raised in Seldovia, Alaska and enjoyed spending time with his brothers there fishing.

Alfred Perry Bond is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kendra Bond. His loving children Karola, Logan and Kalysa. His sister Valerie and his brothers Randy and Steve. His friends were considered family to him.
