Steve passed away at home on Friday, Dec. 7, 2018 after a brief battle with cancer. Steve was born on June 25, 1968 in Portland, Oregon to parents Michael and Sheryl Stump. He grew up in Milwaukie and Clackamas Oregon and graduated from Clackamas High School in 1986. In June of 1988 he married Kristin Walker and they moved to Powell Butte in 1992. They later divorced.

Steve worked at Les Schwab in Prineville before starting Cinder Rock Construction. He then worked for Smaf Construction before starting T4 Construction and then Hard Rock Construction.

Steve enjoyed boating, raising his cattle and working in the construction industry. He liked buying and fixing dirt bikes, 3 wheelers and quads with his son Colton and spending time with Kaia and Lincoln watching movies.

Steve is survived by his children Colton, Kaia and Lincoln, his parents Michael and Sheryl Stump, brother Brian Stump (Christi), sister Michelle Parker (Joe), grandfather Jack Hartung, aunt and uncle Rick and Toni Hartung, Pat and Carol Stump, aunt Gloria Hunt, many nieces, nephews and others relatives, former wife Kristin Walker and her mother Claudia Walker. He was preceded in death by grandparents Frank and Barbara Stump, Lorene “Renie” Hartung, cousin Bethany Hartung and former father in law Bert Walker.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Powell Butte Christian Church, 13720 Hwy 126, Powell Butte, OR.
