Shawn S. Kennedy, 59, of Prineville, Oregon, went to be with the Lord on December 27, 2018 after a courageous battle with Glioblastoma.

Shawn was born in Portland Oregon to James and Lucy Kennedy on November 4, 1959.  He attended grade school in Eugene and Cascade Locks and then moved with his family to Prineville and graduated in 1978 from Crook County High School. He moved to the Portland area after graduating where he lived for most of his life. He married and had two sons, which were the light of his life, attending every practice and games they had.

He worked as a Field Service Technician and Traffic Controller for Sequent Computer System and then Synetics for several years traveling to South Korea, France and many other countries. In 2005 he went to work for ESI as an Import/Export Logistics Specialist until June 2017 when he moved to Prineville.

Shawn had a passion for life and looked at everyday as a blessing. His unwavering positive attitude was contagious.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, riding Harley’s with friends and anything outdoors. Spending time and making memories with family and friends were his joy in life.

On June 11, 2011 he married Lona Strawn in Prineville, Oregon overlooking Prineville Reservoir. They packed 50+ years of love and adventures in the short time they had together.
