Michael Scott Lent

Michael Scott Lent was born November 25, 1963 in Roseburg, Oregon to Judith A. (Waller) and Donovan M. Lent, Jr.  He grew up in Roseburg, Eugene and Sherwood, Oregon; and moved to Virginia where he graduated from Jefferson High School in Alexandria and attended Longwood College in Farmville. He earned a BA Degree in Business/Communications from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado.  He held customer service, sales and information technology positions in Arizona before becoming owner/operator of Casa Grande Window Cleaning from 2006 to 2016, when he returned to Oregon.  He ended his ten-year battle with heart disease in Madras, Oregon on August 17, 2017.

Michael was preceded in death by his father.  He is survived by his brother Jeffrey Lee Lent (Manassas, VA); mother and step-father Judith and David Miller (Cornville, AZ); step-brothers Michael (Mt. Shasta, CA), Eric and Vincent Miller (Westhampton Beach, NY) and step-sister Angela (Miller) Decint (Falls Church, VA); uncles Eldon Waller (Madras, OR) and Kenneth Waller (Dallas, OR); and several Oregon cousins. 

Michael lived his life with energy, with an outgoing and optimistic “glass half full” perspective, even in the face of obstacles.  He is remembered for his cheerful nature, quirky sense of humor, a passion for writing, music and photography, finding bargain collectibles, and exploring the outdoors.
