Lorraine M (Taylor) Hill

Lorraine M. Hill, 95, of Ontario, peacefully went home to be with Jesus on July 12, 2017.

Lorraine was the first born to Melvin and Frances Taylor on April 2, 1922 in Weiser, ID.  She married her life-long sweetheart, Buford (Bud) Hill on June 13, 1938.  They were married 59 years and had three children.

She loved to knit, crochet, do ceramics, jigsaw puzzles and read.  She made many beautiful treasures for her family.   She also enjoyed gardening, beautiful flowers and bird watching.  Her sense of humor, witty sayings and funny stories will be fondly remembered by her family.

Lorraine is survived by her three loving children, Carolyn (Paul) Zimmerman of Nampa, Darlene (Tom) Stenkamp of Ontario, and LaMoine Hill of Yuma.   She had special bonds with her nine grandchildren and their spouses.  She enjoyed spending time and seeing pictures of her 20 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.  She looked forward to visits from her sister, Celia Ruple of Anchorage  and numerous nieces and nephews.  She also had many friends from Pilgrim Lutheran Church.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, both parents, and brothers Everett and Jack.

Funeral arrangements will be done by Prineville Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 22, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. PDT at Juniper Haven Cemetery in Prineville, OR.
