Larry French

Larry French, of Prineville, passed away from heart failure on Feb. 13, 2018, at St. Charles in Madras. He was 77.
A Memorial Service is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24 at Prineville Funeral Home, 199 NE 10th St. in Prineville.
Larry was born March 11, 1940, in Dalhart, Texas, to Joseph French and Edna (Harmon) French. He graduated from Willamette High School in Eugene.
He served in the Navy from 1959 to 1962. On July 18, 1959, he married Judy Gant. They lived in Eugene until moving to Prineville in 1974. Larry worked as a business owner and in sales, retiring in 2005.
Larry enjoyed Target shooting, fishing and hunting. He also loved his family, friends and gatherings with all of them.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mary Jo (French) Grimes, of Powell Butte, and Laurie (French) Knox, of Prineville; three grandchildren, Jameson Grimes, Taylor Knox and Tarren Knox; and one great-grandchild, Micah Knox.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Edna French; a sister, Betty Heup; a brother, Joseph French; and a grandson, Tyson Knox.
Prineville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association and Heart Association.
