Larry Christian, a longtime Prineville resident, passed away peacefully at 89, living a full and interesting life for 89 years. Born to Evelyn and Lawrence Christian, Larry attended Lebanon High School and the University of Oregon. Larry spent most of his life in Oregon, although he also lived in San Diego, Boise and Alaska- twice! An avid reader, he loved camping and the great outdoors, even flying his plane several times from Alaska to Oregon and California. He and his late wife Judy were dog lovers and for a time, breeders who made many families happy with miniature dachshunds and “Dorkie”- dachshund- Yorkie mixes. He is survived by his sister Patricia Silvers, his three daughters Marianne, Valerie and Cathy, his son Jim, his niece Tracie and family, eight grandchildren, and his devoted friend Mike Carter. No public services will be held, however donations in his memory to the Humane Society of the Ochocos would be welcomed and can be mailed to 1280 SW Tom McCall Rd, Prineville OR 97754.
