Jerry Wine Obituary

Jerry Wayne Wine of Prineville passed away Friday July 27^th, 2018 at St. Charles Hospital, Prineville in the company of his family. He was 74 years old. Jerry was born in Wapato, Washington August 3^rd, 1944 to Floyd Frank Wine and Verna Thelma (Barger) Wine.

Jerry served in the Navy during the Vietnam Conflict aboard the USS Evans. Upon returning home he spent time doing construction work with his father in Northern California. He moved to the Prineville area in 1969 where worked in the logging industry until being injured. Following his injury he returned to school where he was trained to be an agriculture mechanic. He worked as a mechanic until his retirement.

Jerry is survived by three children: Teresa Wooldridge of Boise, Idaho, Dena Oryall of Colville, Washington and William Wine of Prineville. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

Jerry was remembered at a small gathering of family and friends where a military honors ceremony was conducted by The Band of Brothers, Prineville Chapter and the US Navy.
