Jerry Wayne Williams was born on Dec. 4, 1949 to Walter “Pete” Williams and Mary Ruth (Hughes) Williams in Prineville Oregon.
Jerry attended School in Crook County, graduating in 1969. He played Fullback on the varsity football team and was an outstanding wrestler. He liked to spend time with his friends and family.
After he married Sharlene Myers he entered the Army. While serving in Vietnam they had a son, Travis. Upon completing his military service and returning home to Prineville he went to work for Les Schwab. He had a second child a daughter, Kristi
Jerry left Schwab’s to go to work in the woods with his dad and two brothers. They worked for many of the logging companies in Central Oregon. He liked participating in the C.O. Timber Carnival with his parents, brothers and sister-in-law and his sister. Jerry also loved to hunt and go fishing with his family.
Jerry had a son Alex and daughter Arika with his second wife. He moved to Alabama for a short time returning once again to Prineville to start an excavating business.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Billy and sister Mary Lynn.
He is Survived by his sons Travis of California, and Alex of Bend, Oregon; daughters Kristi of California and Arika of Bend, Oregon, 9 grandchildren and two great grandchildren . He is also survived by his brother Gene of Salem Oregon, Ann Rust and Gene of Nyssa Glenda Stacy (Ed) of Payette Id, Judy Webster (Dennis) of Prineville, and many nieces and nephews, aunts’ uncles and cousins.
