Evelyn Wilhelm Obituary
Longtime Fossil, Oregon resident, Evelyn Bernice Wilhelm, 84, who preferred to be called Bernice, passed away August 21st, 2019 in Bend, Oregon. Bernice was born February 26th, 1935 to Delly Richard Williams and Florence Hope Kelly in Spray, Oregon. She was married to Willard Bunney Wilhelm, who was also from Spray. She was the mother of three children: Violet Bales, Willard Wilhelm Jr. (Punk), and Delbert Wilhelm.
She loved caring for birds, sewing, gardening, fishing, painting, and picking on people; she was a firecracker!
Bernice was preceded in death by both of her parents and her stepmother Violet Mangum as well as her husband Willard and her son Willard Jr. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Glenn and Guy, and stepbrother Harold Mangum, as well as her sister Alice and stepsisters Joyce Hudson and Shirley Dixon.
She is survived by her sisters Mary McClain and Nancy Hawk, daughter Violet, son Delbert, five grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
At her request, no memorial services will be held.
