Elizabeth Olive Newby Barber passed away August 9, 2019 in Redmond Oregon. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Harry Benino and Helen Margaret Ingerham Newby.
Born in Indianapolis, Indiana where she lived until her teens when the family moved to California, where she loved the beach. She graduated from Ventura high school then attended Ventura junior. College. She met her husband Leon Harrison Barber in 1940 and they were married the same year. They lived in La Canada where she worked at a dry cleaners with her lifetime friend Margaret Darling. She enjoyed many many years of friendship with George and Leona web, who she continued to stay in contact with until she got her angel wings. She like to camp and fish enjoying the outdoors she enjoyed spending time with all her nieces and nephews remembering all the old good times.
She lived in many towns in Southern California. In Thousand Oaks she was a supervisor at Semtech until. She Retired in 1990 at which time she and her husband joined the rest of the family in Central Oregon where they had come to visit on their vacations. She loves fishing and spending time with her children, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and Great great grandchildren who she loves spoiling. And her late years she enjoyed playing the slot machines whenever she had the chance.
She was preceded in passing by her husband, mother, father, stepfather, stepmother, all her siblings And her daughter Bonnie Lee Brooks her grandson Brian Scott Wilson and great grandson Scotty Michael Ledford.
