Dorothy (Dottie) Marianne (Malley) Hensley of Prineville, OR passed away July 18, 2017 at the age of 79.
Dottie was born in Petaluma, CA to Marianne (Bruhn) Malley and John Joseph Malley. She spent her childhood on her beloved home, the Circle M in Cotati, CA. In her early years she was a tomboy who loved to swim.
In 1958, Dottie married her high school sweetheart, Ken Hensley and spent many wonderful years on their dairy farm, While on the farm they welcomed to their home a daughter, Nadine and a son, Kenny. In 1969, they moved to Grant County, OR where they welcomed a son, Tom and a daughter, Janet.
Dottie liked playing card games with family and friends and never missed the opportunity to instigate a good water fight. She especially enjoyed the beauty of trees and the sound of rain.
For the last twelve years, Dottie and Ken have lived in Prineville, OR.
Dottie is survived by her husband Ken Hensley, son Tom Hensley, daughters Nadine McCarty, and Janet Johnston. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father John Malley, mother Marianne Malley, brother Tom Malley, and son Ken Hensley.
A future celebration of life is to be planned for a later date.
